The Brand Strategist's Mindscape episode 3: Compelling

The success of your business depends on your ability to cultivate, give, and attract attention…
We all know attention is fleeting. And we also know that attention is so hard to maintain because we live in a world where stimulation is constant.
Though it’s difficult to cut through the noise to get noticed by your ideal audience, it’s not impossible.
Here’s the secret: If you want attention, you must give it first.
All humans have a basic need for attention. When you find meaningful ways to meet that need for your audience, you’re laying the foundation for capturing their attention in return.
The attention-grabbing sequence looks like this:
Cultivate - You can’t win the attention of others until you develop your own awareness about what captures your attention, which requires you to improve your observation skills.
Give - Initiate relationships by having more conversations that show exactly how your skills can solve the problems your audience faces.
Attract - After you’ve piqued the interest of your audience, continue to pull it forward by creating a sense of community through your messaging and your storytelling.
This is how you begin to establish your brand as compelling. “Compelling” is the first element in my approach to creating a brand strategy that makes you irresistible.
We’ll talk more about how to connect deeply with your audience next time.
